techniques prevent injuries?
Although falling techniques are taught to
martial artists, athletes and paratroopers, a
BMJ search of Highwire listed journals has
discovered no mention of “falling correctly”,
“safe falling”, etc. “Reducing the force of
impact of a fall on people’s bones” is
discussed.1 But the literature mentions no
impact reduction techniques except for hip
protectors. Exercise and muscle power in old
age are recognized as helping regain balance
after tripping,2 but not all falls are preventable.
So perhaps safe falling should also be
explored.
One finds discussion of types of fall, with no
discussion of those who were trained in
falling.3 Studies of reactions to slipping do not
distinguish athletes and martial artists from
other healthy subjects.4 Tai Chi is mentioned
as appropriate exercise for the prevention of
falls,5 but unlike the Japanese arts, Tai Chi
does not teach falling.
Although correct falling is neglected in the
medical literature, there is much semiscientific
literature by martial arts masters.
An internet search for ukemi yields useful
information.
The ease with which martial artists take
even very hard falls suggests the hypothesis
that falling practice while relatively young can prevent

THE SAGA OF SEVEN SUNS BOOK 1: HIDDEN EMPIRE
ok book. slow start, just like superman. book 1 and 7 have inconsistancies. it says the historians... larry or margret or something. the woman jumped through the portal in the first book. but in the sixth, it said her husband said for her to go first. he did not do that. he did not see the wall.
the ending was terrible because NOTHING HAPPENED IN THE WHOLE BOOK. THERE WAS NO END it all leads to book two, and i do not have book two

doesnt live up to the amazing tom cruise. i dislike how wells uses english from the 50's it takes away my interest.

i agree with what entertainment weekly says, but i think that tv is the shittiest form of entertainment. it is a box designed to be staredat. and people end up doing that for 10+ per day.
notes: i first thought booster was a stupid character when i read about him a in some other comic. at the start of 52, i liked him, but my view of booster changed to disgust by the end of 52.
i thought big woman was a stupid character, and that the super power was not much of one. pg 103: big titties

sin city movie and print
first half of the movie was great. then i came back a day later and finished it. it seemed like a completely different movie for the second half.
i didnt like it.
what happened at the end, though. it seemed like leonardo di caprio was randomly added on there.
the comic book was great, but everything was happening too fast, too many pictures in the page
in both, though, i loved the violence, nudity, and concepts in the conversations.
im not sure what else. but it was good.
it makes me want to move to las vegas and make friends with hookers.

speed stacks
i cant tell the difference between regular colors and premium. i guess its just 3$ for a larger selection of colors.
cant tell what the metal cups do either. it does not show if they make the stacking easier.
i cant tell what the average stack mat price is, and if it is similar to a cube timer or if it can be used as one. the large display is nice.
cant tell if off site cup offerers have good deals. kidology gives the free dvd. but i can't tell if the dvd has anything useful on it. i assume its bullshit video. allong with the activity guide. is it supposed to be exercise with the cups?

professor layton and the curious villiage
fuck the village, fuck layton. fuck that little boy, and that girl really wants to fuck layton. shes cute. and has tatoos.
game sucks, play hotel dusk.
the villiage is not a mystery or a detective game, its just a point and click puzzle game. like the loser version of a mensa video game. fuck it all.

destroyed in seconds
destroyed in seconds is stupid. all of these videos can be learned from. just now it showed a helicopter crash at high altitude during a snow rescue operation. the fucking dumasses could ahve added some rocked boosters underneath to give some vertical thrust to the helicopter. god damn.
awesome show.
a construction worker then severed a natural gas and water pipe. sucks to be him. he probably doesnt work in construckign anymore. rolling on the floor laughing.
the metal music gets annoying after a while though.
next, a crane falls. fuck cranes. it could have been stopped if the line holder had a release lever. once all teh weight is released, the crane wouldnt fall but wobble.
